Thank you for using s'new. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our mobile application. By using s'new, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Account information: display name, email address, phone number, and profile photo
Content you post: photos, videos, and written updates shared within groups
Group information: group names, cover photos, and member lists you create or manage
Communications: comments and reactions you leave on posts
Device information: device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information
Usage data: features used, pages viewed, timestamps, and interaction logs
Log data: IP address, browser type (if applicable), and error logs
Location data: only when you voluntarily tag a post with a location
If you sign in using Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information (name and email address) from those providers in accordance with their privacy policies. We do not receive your passwords.
We use the information we collect to:
Create and manage your account
Enable you to create and share posts within your groups
Deliver push notifications for new posts, reactions, and comments
Allow you to view posts shared with you based on shared group membership
Enforce our Terms of Service, including reviewing reports of abuse and removing violating content
Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues
Analyze usage patterns to improve the app's features and performance
Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your personal content (photos, videos, written posts) to train machine learning models.
We use third-party analytics and advertising services to help us understand how users interact with s'new and to support the app's continued development. These services may collect certain data automatically, including:
Device identifiers (e.g., IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)
IP address and general location
App usage events and session data
These third-party services have their own privacy policies governing how they use this data. We encourage you to review them. You may be able to opt out of interest-based advertising through your device settings ("Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android).
We do not display third-party advertisements within the s'new feed or any part of the in-app experience.
Your display name and profile photo are visible to members of groups you belong to
Posts you share are visible to all members of the group(s) you post to
Reaction counts on your posts are visible to all post viewers; the identities of individual reactors are visible only to the post creator
Comments marked "public" are visible to all post viewers; comments marked "private" are visible only to the post creator
If you block a user, your content is hidden from them across all shared groups and they cannot interact with your posts — no one is removed from any group as a result of a block
Abuse reports you submit are reviewed by our team within 24 hours
We share data with third-party vendors who assist us in operating the app, including cloud hosting providers, analytics platforms, push notification services, and customer support tools. These providers are contractually required to use your data only to perform services on our behalf.
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of s'new, our users, or the public.
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or in-app notice before your data becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
s'new is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at jackie.p.moren@gmail.com. We will delete such information promptly upon verification.
Users between the ages of 13 and 17 should review this policy with a parent or guardian before using the app.
We retain your account information and content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and content within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.
When you leave or are removed from a group, your posts are removed from that group's feed but remain in your personal archive. If your account is deleted, your posts are removed from all groups.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Object to or restrict certain types of data processing
Data portability — receive a copy of your data in a machine-readable format

California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
Users are prohibited from posting defamatory, obscene, or abusive content. We reserve the right to remove any content and ban any user who violates these safety standards. Reports of abuse are reviewed within 24 hours.
To support a safe environment, s'new provides the following tools:
Reporting: you can report any post or user directly from within the app. All reports are reviewed by our team within 24 hours and we will take appropriate action, which may include content removal or account suspension
Blocking: you can block any user at any time. A blocked user cannot view your posts or interact with you in any way
When you submit a report, we may collect and retain details about the reported content and the reporting user solely for the purpose of reviewing the report and enforcing our policies. We do not share your identity with the user you report.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These include encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy in the app and, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of s'new after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
